Transferring domain name from go daddy to weebly?
If I transfer my domain name that I purchased from go daddy to weebly.com will the domain now be registered through weebly? For instance, after I transfer the name will I still be paying godaddy.com's price or will I be paying weebly.coms price for the domain?

Weebly.com is a web site hosting service. godaddy.com is a domain registrar with some other service on top. They are different animals for your purposes.

Using the domain on weebly.com is different than registering the domain so it's available on the Internet. Ultimately you need both functions to make your chosen domain available on the Internet.

Good Luck

Normally one would keep Godaddy as the registrar and just change te name server setting in the Godaddy control. panel to the hosting company's, I don't know what is allow and not allowed on weebly, some free hosts have an upgrade for for a custom domain name since it can lose them ad revenue. Sticking with Godaddy might make it easier to sell the domain name in their auction some time in the future easier.

Keeping the domain registrar and host separate can be better, some hosts kind of hold your bundled domain name hostage, making it more difficult to transfer it to another host.

Normally you are free to transfer a domain name to a different registrar after 60 days.
