I cannot uninsall google chrome.!?

I am using a sony vaio laptop with windows 7. My google chrome is not working properly. It hangs after some time. I tried uninstalling it by going to control panel. It says to close all chrome tabs but none of them are opened in the first place. even when it proceeds with the uninstallation process, nothing happens. I have to uninstall google chrome.!
PLEASE HELP ASAP!

Try restarting your pc, go to control panel, select uninstall chrome.

What i did was save my files (photos, videos, and stuff), then completely restart your computer to its factory state. Then load your things on to it, and personalize a couple things and boom! it should be good

I have had this to work↓
Right click on an empty space on the desktop task bar.
click start task manager.
under the processes tab if you find Google highlight it
then click remove.
Then go to control panel <> programs and features and try to remove it.
