On Twitter, I want to DM somebody. Their page still exists, but I can not DM them.?

Everytime I go to send them a DM, it says "This user does not exist." But the user does exist because I can still tweet that person. Please help.

It sometimes does that... Try:
1. Log off, log back in.
2. Refresh the page.
3. Unfollow, refollow.
4. DM them from Mobile/an app.
5. They might have changed their @ name, so check that too. Lol.
And btw, if the person doesn't follow you, you won't be able to DM them, but it'll say they don't follow you, I don't think it'd say the account doesn't exist. lol.

You can only DM people that you follow AND that follow you. If this two standards aren't met, you won't be able to DM them..
