Why am I single at 21, how can I start meeting nice guys?

Iam 5 foot something. Not too sure lol. Black hair, big brown eyes and few brown freckles on one side of cheek. Small nose and full pout of lips. I'm slim, size 8-10 big chested and a curvy booty. Wider hips but not too wide.

I get hit on but I feel like guys just want sex or look at me as just a body. I get called beautiful, gorgeous etc but I don't think that but guys have said that and that's nice of them I guess.

I've been out with some horrible guys. A narcissistic type, a complulsive liar and a serious controller who emotionally drained me. My confidence to say the least has been shot. I've never gone after any guy. They've always approached me and I feel like being shy isn't great.

I prefer shy guys yet I've been out with total cocky players :/ I guess due to low self esteem with those type of guys I've felt amazing as they drown me with compliments but that's only for their own selfish intentions to make me fall for them so they can use me so I ignore that type now and I've learnt the hard way. I've been single since november my ex the control freak one tried to get me back or use me again but I ended it and I'm over him totally.

I feel ready to be with someone and get to know them and see where it goes. I've had a date this year he was a jerk and only wanted sex. Again the cocky type.

I guess as I'm shy they make it easier for me in terms of talking and stuff. I've now met a shy guy seen him few times and I like him he doesn't know and its hard as he's bit shy too. But I feel like he may be different as he's not been a jerk. He's tried to make me laugh and stuff. Don't get me wrong I know he probably likes my body. He's a guy after all. But not all guys have to be sleazy about it most are though.
