How to reset Google Chrome browser?
I am using Google Chrome web browser. Normally, when we start Google Chrome, the browser page shows several icons namely, Store, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Search, Gmail, YouTube. But today, I see only Store icon. Rest of the icons are missing. How do i reset Google Chrome so that i get all the icons back. Please don't suggest reinstalling Chrome.

A reset of the web browser settings may be required in case there are problems during surfing the internet. Restoring the default settings of the browser can be done through settings available in all browsers. The process to reset browsers varies so that the steps to reset Internet Explorer are different from the ones with reset Google Chrome for instance. While some browsers may have to be closed in order to reset the browser, others can be reset when the browser software is opened. All passwords, bookmarks and other personalized data including the browser settings will be lost after restoring the default settings of the browser.

How to reset Google Chrome?
Under Windows
Close all running instances of Google Chrome.

Go to the installation folder of Google Chrome:
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\User Data.
In the User Data folder, look for a file named as "Default" and rename it.
Launch Google Chrome and a new "Default " file will be created.

Under MacOS
Rename the Default file, located in:
~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/Default
Under Linux
Rename the Default file, located in:
~/.config/google-chrome/Default
