Help with advertising?
Im in my teens,(under16) and i wanted to get a little bit more money, so me and a few friends set up a dog walking business. We thought it was a great idea, and planned everything, we were really committed. But it all failed because we had no idea how to advertise it, and nobody asked for their dog walked, we set up of facebook page, and gave out fliers, but we had no luck. Anybody got any ideas, on how to advertise better? or some different ways i can make some money? 10points to best answer. THANKS!x

You can write articles online and get paid for that. About your dog walking business, you can use word of mouth for advertising. Let ALL your friends and friends of your friends know about your business. Post advertisements on craigslist.org

Only people local to you would want their dogs walked, obviously you don't have enough dog owners close to you.

It's not about advertising, it's all about dogs, the few people with dogs don't know about you and don't want you to walk their dog, just go find a proper job because this one ain't gonna cut it.

Think of advertising a little like fishing, your customers are like fish. You have to know where your fish swim (The high street, free papers national papers or the internet) and you have to know what they eat (what adverts appeal to them). Then its a waiting game you can't keep pulling your bait out every two minutes. It's no good putting an advert on the internet when you're looking for old ladies who don't have a computer. It may take 3 weeks in her local shop window for her to see it think about it and decide to do something about it.

Dog owners go to the park and the vets so this should tell you where to advertise. next think what appeals to them the words dog walking doesn't work, why because its not appealing to the mind but words like a healthy dog is a happy dog encourages interest, tag lines saying how many of us have time to give them the walk they deserve every day.

This can be applied to any form of advertising, work out who your clients are where they shop and what appeals. adverts should be interesting and encourage calls rather than tell them everything there is to know.

Another simple ideas to make money as a kid is car washing at the local pub carpark £5 a time it shouldn't take long to earn £30 or so. A good advert for this would be a painted board saying "Get your car washed here, it will make you look sexier" try it and trust me people will laugh but they'll buy and you'll have plenty of pocket money

I think you have a fabuluos idea and if you and your friends really, really, really, really want to start a dog walking business, perhaps registering a domain name for it could be a start. Writing a blog about it. I say get your friends together a few times each week and just bounce ideas around. Maybe build a website and get it online. Heck, you could make it a service to customers nationwide!! I promise you the more you guys think about it, you will attract more possibilities. There is a law of the universe called the Law of Attraction which states "The more you focus your mind and your heart on any one thing, the faster the universe will make it manifest.
Always, always, always follow your dreams and what's inside your heart!
Blessings from the Universe

Hey,

I know what you mean about finding business out there especially in this day and age when everybody has no money! What you need to do is some targeted marketing whereby you need to put your business in front of people that are actively looking for your services. It is only by chance if you put a flyer through a door or an advert in a paper that someone will give you a call and 9.9 times out of 10 they are not looking for your services. The best place to get in front of people who are actively looking for your services is Google! If you want some more information on how to get yourself up there drop me an email and I'd be happy to help. Hope to hear from you soon! Joe.
