Why is paypal showing 'This card cannot be used for this transaction'!?

The bank assured me that there is nothing wrong with my debit card!Am i doing something wrong?I tried to link it with my new paypal account but they are not accepting it!I tried using it as a guest and they are saying this card cannot be used for this transaction!Am i doing something wrong?Iam in the middle of a life crisis please help.And my cookies are enabled too.

What kind of card is it?

I've had this problem before. After a lot of time on the phone with my bank (I use BECU) , I was told that my MasterCard/DebitCard couldn't be used in some online transactions because the account was created when I was 15 and it was considered a part of my parents account. I'm 23 now and I still have problems using it for some online purchases. Now I have an AMEX though.... so I use that for all my online stuff. The only way to remove the block on it is to go to my bank and have them close out my old account and open a new one and so far I'm too lazy to actually go do that.
