Can I invite an old student to my party?

So last year I was a student teacher at a high school, and I have kept in touch with some of the graduated seniors via facebook/email since everything is documented it doesn't bother me. My birthday is this weekend, and one of the students I keep in touch with more often has mentioned we should go do something. I've already made plans to go to a local bar/restaurant with a group of friends, and have thought about inviting her. She's 20 and I'm 25. Nothing has ever happened between us, either during my internship or otherwise, but she's pretty smart and attractive. I don't want to jeopardize my career, but I'm wondering if there is really an issue here, or am I just being paranoid?
I should note I'm currently working as a teacher at a middle school in a neighboring system.
