Humanists are not necessarily atheists. By definition, "Humanism is a progressive philosophy of life that, without theism and other supernatural beliefs, affirms our ability and responsibility to lead ethical lives of personal fulfillment that aspire to the greater good of humanity."

While most humanists would identify themselves as atheists, there would be some who hold some very general belief in the idea of god - along the lines of deism.

Personally, Humanism is the philosophy I most closely identify with. I happen to follow the AHA page, and frequently comment on articles they share.
