How do I subscribe to a subreddit?

Just joined reddit. I'm confused as sh!t. I thought at first it was if I just visited a subreddit, I subscribed to it, since I had a bunch of subscriptions that I didn't remember subscribing to. So I deleted a bunch, but not all, of my subs, and then the "my subscriptions" part on the main page left and now I can't even find what subreddits I am subscribed to. Anyone wanna help?

of long pressing the title of the subreddit and other methods, but non seemed to work. Nothing pops up when I 'Long press' the subreddit. I'm SO confused. -_- Please help. Step by step instructions, maybe with an example subreddit that i can practice on will help.

Directions for doing it on a PC or Mac using a web browser:

Go to the Reddit home page. At the very top left of the page you'll see a heading for "My Subreddits" Click on it and at the bottom of the drop down select "Edit Subscriptions" from there you can search for subreddits and add them. On the front page off all subreddits there is a button on the right hand side under the search box that says "Subscribe"
