Do I feel love or friendship with this guy? What is the difference between the two? Help?

A while ago I used to text this guy from another school every day (lets just say his name is Mark), and we wrote in paragraphs. I absolutely loved talking to him, he made me laugh and I just found myself getting drawn into the conversations with him. We joked around and made fun of each other but sometimes had in depth meaningful conversation. He asked me if I would want to go with him to dinner once and I politely declined, and felt a bit weirded out :/. Over time, I grew a bit bored and stopped replying to him. We eventually stopped talking to each other 4 months ago. I got a boyfriend in those 4 months and I really like him but couldn't help but wish I still had the other guy to talk to too.
Yesterday Mark liked my profile picture on facebook and I decided to snapchat him (and a few other friends) a funny picture. He replied almost instantly with another picture and we snapchatted a few times before I stopped. He then texted me something funny and I felt this weird butterfly feeling in my stomach. I was so happy and excited that he was talking to me again.
I don’t know why I’m feeling this. He isn’t good looking AT ALL but I LOVE talking to him. I don’t know if what I feel is friendship or love or something else. Help !!!

Well friendship and love are two different things entirely.. Ask yourself do you think about him in a different way to how you think about your normal friends? Do you miss him a lot if you don't talk to him in one day? Are you sexually attracted to him?

This doesn't sound fair on your boyfriend though, I would be really pissed off if my gf was having feelings for someone else, so be careful there!

In my opinion if his name actually is mark then pick him.. Nah but seriously you seem to really have feelings for this guy so maybe try to pick one or the other, don't keep talking to 'mark' if you want to stay with your bf... Good luck Hun

Haha the part where you mentioned he isnt good looking at all... oh wow lol, well lets see i dont know, it kind of just sounds to me that you just like the way he may make you feel, perhaps you like the things he may tell you, make you blush. Stuff like that. But in the end, im not exactly sure if you love him love him. I mean you have a boyfriend and idk sounds like you just have a crush on him, you like him because of the way he makes yoi feel and the thought of him obviously liking you back, makes it even better. But like i said just ask yourself can you ever imagine actually being with him, going out? My final conclusion is that you may have some feelings for him but as of right now, perhaps there not strong enough just yet to call it love
