internet is global network while networking can be local to global. In local, limited computers are connected and they share data. In internet, huge servers are connected worldwidely for data transmission and web surfing.

Networking is the interconnection of two or more computers over a variety of media types for the purpose of allowing the computers to interact with each other. The connection media can be over a different types of interface including Ethernet, RS232, Infrared, WiFi wireless, Bluetooth wireless, USB, and probably a score of other media types.
The interaction between the computers can involve sharing data, remote access and update to data, media streaming (TV, music, etc), performing tasks on a remote computer, distributed computing - using multiple computers to process large tasks that are too big for a single computer, etc. The Internet is a global network across which networking can be performed. I hope this helps. |
