Is there any app that can download only the missing part of a file?
I had to download a 730 MB file. And the download was cancelled at 99% and the downloaded file size is approximately 2 MB short than the required file. My internet connection is damn slow and I would hate to download the whole of 730 MB file again. Is there any software that can compare the file at my computer to that in the server from which is required to be downloaded and download only the remaining 2 MB?

Depends on what is in the file but almost always the answer is no. You would have to get a program to fix the other file and not many types of files have such a fixer program.

That depends on whether you used Microsoft's useless Internet Explorer Web Browser to download the first 99%. If IE, you will, most likely, have to start over.
Only, this time download and install the free and dazzling Google Chrome Web Browser, first. It remembers where it left off, and will finish the last little bit of the unfinished download, automatically. And, it will likely be slightly faster than IE, too. |

Try download that software with bit-torrent. It will check the file and download the remaining one.
