How Do I Stop Worrying About the Future?
I'm currently a sophomore in college, and I'm double majoring in bioinformatics and foreign languages. But, due to past failures and missed opportunities involving part time jobs, I'm starting to have crippling doubts about my future. I'm bombarded with pessimistic messages about the future from the news, friends, and social media. I just want to be able to relax a little and enjoy life without thinking that the future is destined to be bleak. I hate sounding like a whiner, so I'm not trying to get sympathy. I think what I'm asking for is just a little reassurance. I mean, I do well in school, I do community service, and have a very active social life. Should I be as worried as I am? Or should I take a chill pill?
I also have Asperger's, and I'm female. Most people I know are aware I'm autistic, but I have countlessly received comments about how I "don't seem like it." Thoughts? Ads |
