Someone took my username on instagram?

So on Instagram, I made an account a long time ago but then it got deleted. Recently, ive made a new account, but the problem is the old username is taken bu someone else. This person is active and I have asked them about switching on one of their photos, here's what I said. Is this comment okay?

Hi! I know you problly have no idea who I am, but I was wanting to know if we could switch usernames if your willing to? A long time ago I made my account with your username and that account got deleted, but when I made a new one it said it was already taken by your account. My account name isn't that different from yours it's "michelllegrace" but with 3 "l's". I was just really wanting my old username back without 3 letter "l's". Sorry if that sounds kind of stupid to you, but please reply back? Thanks 😊

My guess is that you got no reply, and that you will not get your old username back. I know I wouldn't change my username because someone else asked for it.
