What does she want from me?

What does she want from me?
So I really liked this girl last year. We were hanging out with the same group of friends at the time and I kinda thought she might like me. I asked her out to the movies twice, she flaked out on me both times, and then started treating me different and ignoring me. So I stopped talking to her. Fast forward to about 2 months ago and she starts trying to message me on facebook, I'm nice to her and everything but I really didn't want to get my hopes up so I kind of shrugged her off a bit by not showing much interest in her conversations.
Now she's started hanging out with my group of friends again. She's been telling me she wants to hang out with me. I'm still trying to not get my hopes up so I brush her off by saying yeah sure one of these days we should, and never really setting a date. But the other day when I was giving my friends presents I brought them from a recent trip, she showed up and I had not bought her anything. So I gave her this really shitty string necklace that I had bought for a co-worker. I told her "Here I have an extra necklace, do you want it?" She seemed kind of offended that I gave her the left over present, but she still took it. And shes been wearing it ever since. Every time I see her she's wearing it, and she looks over at me a lot, but I have not commented on it at all. It's confusing for me because I still kinda feel something for her but I don't want to look like an idiot again. What do you guys think, Is this just wishful thinking from my part?

If you still like her, go for it.........again. Maybe the first time just wasn't right timing. No girl is going to wear a shitty necklace for fun, just saying.
