Problem with samsung galaxy s3?

My phone will not get mobile data . I ad to get a text app to text but I cant text unless im at home. My parents phones are working fine but my data wont work. Ive tried resetting it but it didn't work. It says I have bars but if i sent a text it the bars go down and it comes up a red x and message failed to send. Is anyone else having this issue?
