Will a router help my PING problem?

The problem is that my brother and me use the internet alot,but he uses the wireless connection and i used the wired.He uses the wireless since hes pretty far from the modem of my home and i have a good internet connection but when he starts to use the interneet to watch nextflix or any other video related actions my PING goes up alot.I was wondering if I bought a router it would help my ping problem since i heard it extends the wireless connection range.

It will extend the wireless but that's based on what kind of connection it has and he has. Whether that will affect your PING as much as you'd like, I don't know. A lot of ping is based on their server and the connection through your ISP.
