I just started a website with GoDaddy, How many different file types are useful for a website's SEO?

I know what the PDF, JPG, and GIF files are, but there have to more file types out there that would be useful to have on my site to help it be found in search engine results. I don't have a lot of money to throw at those SEO guys, so I basically have to resort to maximizing the file types that would be useful.
Any suggestions?
Also if you have any other advice for SEO I would greatly appreciate it!

You'll probably get a lot of spam responses here, but here's an actual answer:

1) Having a wide variety of file types can be good if the user is searching for a certain file type (especially through google images), but if you're looking to raise keyword rankings in search terms, this really doesnt matter. Id focus on optimizing your site/link building/getting genuine reviews of your sites on a blog
2) If you dont have a ton of money and you're serious about getting good rankings check out goldbacklinks.com

There are a lot of other factors much more important than the types of files on your website.

If you are doing your own search engine optimization I would first focus on:
- understanding and optimizing <title>, META Description, <h1> and <h2> content
- linking with at least a few appropriate and complementary third party websites

Assuming you are primarily focused on Google (vs. Bing & Yahoo) definitely look into and set up a Google Places listing (if you have a physical address) and a Google+ page.

Good SEO does take some time and learning and therefore will usually cost a good bit. Too good to be true prices are usually just that - too good to be true. If the budget is a problem, you can do it on your own - if you have the time and willingness to learn, as well as the ability to know how to tell the truth from the misconceptions.
