Having bad connection?

I'm having problems playing online games, due to my bad internet connection. I'm using wireless internet, and signal strength isn
't greatest. When I try to play some online game, it works fine for couple minutes, than connection disappears for 1second, but it's enough to disconnect me from a game. Is there something I can do, to reduce amount of disconnections i'm getting? please just don't say, get better connection or connection with ethernet cable...i wouldn't be asking this question here if i were able to get new connection. thanks.
