WiFi range extender stopped working on my laptop?

WiFi range extender stopped working on my laptop?
WiFi wasn't enough to cover the entire house, so we bought a N300 WiFi range extender which worked more than fine during the first week we had it.
Usually there are about 2 laptops using the internet at the same time. One of them is an Asus and still works perfectly fine with the extender. However, the other one, a Sony Vaio, suddenly stopped being able to connect correctly to the extender: it only connects for a few seconds/minutes with a extremely slow connection and then disconnects again and most of the times I can't even connect it at all.
Also, the Vaio can perfectly connect to the router without the extender.
Any tips on how this can be solved?

Thanks!

I would restart the whole system, modem, router, and extender. If that doesn't work go into the Network and Sharing center, change adapter settings, and examine all of the connections to determine which one is suffering. I.E. the connection from your laptop to the extender, connection from extender to router, router to internet, etc.
