Modem on computer has a red light?

The modem on my computer has a red light on it where it says "internet" I can't connect to the internet on my computer or my laptop. I've unplugged it and shut it off. I've unplugged my whole computer. Please help! Thank you.

The red light indicates that you have no internet service. Make sure that the cable from your internet provider is firmly plugged into the modem. If so then maybe the service is just down for a little while and should come back soon. If you still don't have service then call your internet provider and find out why your connection is not working.
