Cousin is a dictator?

I’m 19 and I live with my 28 year old cousin, an attorney. Her apartment is right by campus. My parents set up this little arrangement so “ someone could keep an eye on me( I’m not like Beiber or Lohan though)”. We offered to pay ½ the rent but she declined. Anyway, yesterday afternoon I told her a date of mine would be coming over to hang out after dinner.

Me: * tells her a date will be coming over *
Her: No I think what you meant to say was “ May I, with your permission, invite this girl over?”
Me: Ok, well can she?
Her: I’ve never met her.
Me: OK
Her: Well I’m not letting anybody in here that I don’t know. What’s her name? Where’s she from? How’d you meet?
Me: Her name’s Allie from Burbank, we met in English. Good enough?
Her: No but I’ll be on her Facebook later so don’t worry. I never agreed for you to go on a date
Me: I need permission for that too?
Her: Yes, I need to keep an eye on you. Tell you what. While you’re on your date I’ll be on her Facebook and if I find anything off about her, you will go from dinner to dropping her off.
Me: That’s not fair
Her: Of course it’s fair, I pay for this apartment, the food, and your bed, I decide to comes over. Know what? Just for that, you will not be bringing her over. Dinner than drop off, be home by 11 or sleep on the couch.

Why is she being so dictating?

Mom, Dad, I appreciate you wanting to have Cousin look after me, but Cousin is having some serious control issues, and we need to fix this situation. I am glad to let cousin know if I am going out on a date, but Cousin's insistence that I ask permission to date is unrealistic and unacceptable. Please have a talk with cousin about backing off.
