Why does my internet cut out for a few seconds every so often?
Every 20 minutes or so, my internet cuts out and instantly comes back on, but then I have to reconnect. This isn't a huge issue when I'm just browsing the internet, but if I'm playing a multiplayer game or downloading a file, it boots me from the game or cancels the file download. This is making it impossible for me to download a certain file that I need, because the internet always cuts out before it finishes downloading, so I have to restart every time.

I tried buying a new router but that didn't help. What can I do to fix this?

Hmmm... I would try connecting system directly to modem this would pinpoint if is a router problem or not if still dc's with no router in line then is not router prob. If DSL check phone lines from inside to outside or where ever the phone company panel box for your home is.Same with cable if that service is in use.Your internet service provider should have a web site that can check/diagnose connection issues as well.....GL ^^
