I worked in a decent sized company for close to 3 years, Our dept never had any type benefits and we were "temp"employees. My boss used to give us "day off vouchers" as a way to give us incentive, even though it is strictly against company policy. Me and my boss have always got along good, but on Jan 31 st she called me into accuse me of photo copying vouchers (which I did not do). She had no proof, and said "I dont want to fire you because your too valuable of a employee" I was still annoyed my integrity after three years was questioned. We did not speak a word to each other the next few wks after that, as She knew I was very annoyed. on Feb 19th my boss called out of work and Hr asked to question and told me they were releasing out of my "temp contract" I asked for what reason and they said they did not need one, then I pretty much demanded a answer and they said "I might have violated the social media policy" to which I asked to see proof and they said they did not need any. Now I heard today Feb 24th my boss is telling people I was fired for stealing vouchers, and she showed a stack of my old vouchers that I handed in, which were legit as being copied, I was wondering If I have any type of of defamation of character lawsuit. I have also filed for unemployment and if they would try to fight this, as they are totally lying, if I have any type of case or and need a lawyer.
