Why is the internet not working?

Last night I was watching a tv show on my laptop.It was perfectly fine.Today I tried using it and when I open internet explorer or google chrome it says that the website cant be displayed.I have internet access and it works fine on my phone and ipod.what could be the problem? I really need to fix this

When connectivity fails for -two- browsers, -and- it works for other devices, that points to a hardware problem.

If it's a wired network try another wire. They can go bad for no reason at all at any time.

If it's a wireless connection try deleting it and reconnecting. Something may have timed out in a 'unfriendly' way.

As always, triple check for malware, spyware and virus.
