Paypal is just a secure payment server. The money will be sent to their account securely and as safely as possible.

I doubt tickets will arrive by e-mail, so I'd guess you'd get them in the post. The company selling them should be able to confirm this.

Paypal requires that you link it to your bank account. When you pay the payee, Paypal will first see if you have any money in your Paypal account (i.e., if anyone has paid you), and if not will take the money from your bank account. It is very secure and works well for both the payee and the payer. I've used it for years for dozens of transactions.

I would be very careful if this is an individual selling you the ticket it could be a scam but if it's a company that you trust then you must create a paypal account and then buy the ticket. Once you click the buy button you will be re-routed to your paypal account and you will have to sign in to it and then confirm the purchase once you make the purchase you will receive an email receipt in your email inbox. And most likely if its a digital ticket the company will send your ticket and receipt to the same email.

PayPal is just a secure way of handling payment transactions. All you do is create an account with PayPal and add your credit/debit card details to PayPal.

You can then pay money to the company through PayPal for the tickets. PayPal store all the card details used to pay and process the transaction, so the end business never gets to see your card details, they just see money going into their PayPal account - this way it's more secure as only PayPal has access to your bank details.

After you've paid for the tickets then they will send the tickets out. The way they send the tickets out can be in a number of ways. Sometimes they do send you an eTicket (through e-mail) which you'll need to print off and take to the event with you or sometimes they'll send you the ticket by mail. Normally it is by mail as it gives them chance to add security information to the ticket to stop people duplicating them, but even e-mail tickets have security on them as they have a unique number on them to check if the number hasn't already been used.

At some events you have to swap your eTicket for a real ticket or wrist band at the box office when you arrive (if it's a wrist band they put it securely on your wrist and if you attempt to remove it during the event in anyway then it is voided - normally there is some kind of one-way catch on them that can't be undone without damaging the security strip).

Also some events don't release the ticket until a few weeks before the event, to try and stop ticket touts from selling them on, so you might not get your tickets till a few weeks before the event. Some events require that you bring ID (like a bank statement) with you to prove you are the ticket holder as well to stop ticket touts.

It takes minutes to set up your account and you can start paying with PayPal straight away using your debit or credit card - you'll still earn card reward points too.
All you need to open a PayPal account is your email address,
Add your debit card, credit card and bank details so you can choose how you pay each time you buy
Start shopping online, entering only your email address and password at checkout
So the result: safer, easier online shopping with the flexibility to choose how you pay. Smile
