Would turning wi-fi on, slow down my internet if ...?
If I turn wi fi on - on my router, - but no one is connected to it - , can that slow down my connection ?

No as long as nobody is connected to it but wifi itself is slower because its wireless and has to be close for a good connection if youre looking for great speed all the time have a wired connection.
