Why is he so stubborn? Am I wrong or is he?

Been with him for almost 4 years and I do everything in my power to make him happy- Everything! was just last week I through a birthday for him and bought him personal lessons for MMA that he always wanted. And I am loyal, dont party or do anything harmful. I respect him and anything he asks I do. When I had facebook and he aske dme to put a status idid it no questions asked.

Now that he has facebook, I ask him to put a status and when I do he gets upset because he thinks I am trying to make him my territory and I am just being jelous because I asked him when a girl liked his status. But the truth is I ask him to do this because I want to feel like he loves me enough and cares to do the small things to make me happy- if he isnt willing to do such a small thing for me, then how can I believe he loves me and cares to be there for me? He gets angry and says who cares about social media and it is stupid and shouldnt matter and that he treats me right in real life and its just social media and real life should be enoguh.

But heres the thing- it isnt about the status and rather the act of doing something to make the other happy big or small and I feel like I always go out of my way for him and treat him right and he cant do such a small thing? I told him this and he is still being stubborn about it. It was just last week he apologized for being stubborn and that he should be a better guy and now he does this? He told me that hes realized things. what do i do?

hes right, youre wrong. are you really that insecure that you are making a big deal about a facebook status?? you 2 both know youre together, who cares about everyone else? you 2 being happy together is more important than making other girls jealous.

You're very cute but a "crazy girlfriend" act can make a guy forget that. As a girl I COMPLETELY understand your point of view. My boyfriend shows me off to the world but when it comes to showing his "love" on a social media, for us it's instagram, it's just unnecessary and most guys don't ever wanna look "soft". I know if they cared they'd do it. Blah blah. No. I know he cares. It's just not an important issue to touch. Don't act like you care too much because honestly it is not important. Don't lose what's real over what isn't , look at the bigger picture. Good luck honey

I went through kinda the same thing. I could be wrong but if he acts like how my guy acted then he might be trying to apper single. He'd statuses that would say "dm me". The thing is I would sometimes be able to talk when he would do this. Either way I would get mad and hurt. The thing is he would make me feel worthless like I wasn't enough by doing this. My guy would never make a statuse when I would ask or publicly recognize us as a couple on fb. He would make statuses that never had my name or any ties to me and say they were about me..
He wants to appear single.
Here is what I would suggest based on my experience. If he's making those "talk to me" statuses then you say why do you need to talk to others when I'm here. They make me feel worthless that's why I don't like them.
Two if social media isn't that big of a deal then why can't you make us public. If it'll make me happy and win you brownie points with not only me but everyone why can't you make statuses randomly about us
