Looking to upgrade my 9yr old router?

Right now I have a Linksys wireless G 2.4GHZ with speed booster I don't want to spend more then 60.00 .... I have cable internet 5mb speed

Is your current router failing? with a 5MB connection that router is adequate. If you are bent on a faster connection or 5ghz signal I have always been a Belkin user (some people hate them but I like mine) or Asus.

A new router is not going to make your internet any faster unless you also upgrade your connection with your ISP. (ie, pay them more $$).

You can try this free software,My WIFI Router.I used it on my laptop for about two months.I thinnk it would work for you as well.It's a software which you can install in your laptop and turn your laptop into hotspot easily.Maybe you can have a try.Anyway,it's free
