do i need internet connection to have wifi in my home?

hey, im 17 and in my home we dont have internet. so i was thinking about buying a wifi router to have wifi... will this work to have internet on my ipod touch at home. do i necessarily need internet connection in my home?

Yes, you do need Internet.

The router will not work if you do not already have an internet provider. You still have to pay for internet. The router is just so you can have a wireless connection.
