Can you make your Facebook account go dormant?

The thing is I'm being completely stonewalled by every company ever when it comes to employment. I shot this situation by my brother and he says that a policy of a lot of companies is to check a potential employee's Facebook page. If they don't like what they see, they won't look at you twice. I looked through my own page and there doesn't seem to be a lot of super horrible stuff like profuse swearing or stuff like that, but it's one of those "what-if" situations. So I was wondering if there's any way I could pull down my Facebook page temporarily? Like, I can put it down and come back in a month or whatever and bring it back up?

yes, you can just deactivate it, and it will disappear... then next time you log in it will reactivate
