Alert! No Internet Connection. MacBook Pro?

Ok, honestly, this is pissing me the hell off, because my computer only sometimes does this. I'm trying to connect to my network but it keeps doing the "Alert! No Internet connection." and the exclamation point over the airport. It does this *almost* every time I connect to a network, so I just go into network settings and go through the process until it starts searching for a connection, then suddenly I have full bars and "NETWORK CHANGE DETECTED"
Only lately I've been getting a "No Internet connection message" and I'll go through the frustratingly long process in network diagnostics until it starts searching for a connection, only for it to say "network change detected" while the airport will show that it's searching for a connection now, and it'll go back to the exclamation point and the alert.
It works on everything else in the house.
Please don't tell me to restart my computer/modem/router
