Why do some chose not to disclose if they are in a relationship on Facebook?
I ask because I was totally digging this guy before I found out he was a dirtbag. We would meet for coffee, study together, and occasionally chat via FB and pretty much hang out as friends. I never thought to ask if he was in a relationship because I assumed that he would have posted "engaged" or "ina relationsship" on his FB account....I just assumed he was single. I ran into him at the Farmer's Market and he was with his Fiance. He was forced to introduce her. Just curious. I mean you don't have to tell the whole world but being engaged is pretty important if you ask me.
We would flirt but we never had sex. We did share a kiss.
FYI to the stupid whore who answered this...we met at the library. Someone needs to stuff a freakin tampon in your mouth. It's just a question.

Uh, because it's none of your fucking business???

First of all, his girlfriend might not even HAVE a Facebook account.

Second of all, it is nobody's fucking business who he is dating.

Third of all, some people don't update every one of the 12,000 websites that now ask for that information all the time - some can't even remember that they exist; if you DO want the information public then eventually you will probably notice if it is a website you use every day, but since the internet is now retarded you may not notice this very easily on the 12,000 sites...

Fourth of all, it is pretty stupid to think someone is single if their "Relationship Status" does not say "Single". You should not assume a certian thing about someone on a social network site solely because the status of said thing ISN'T LISTED... for example, if I do not have my birthday listed, are you just going to randomly assume that my birthday is July 15, 1982? That would make no sense, whatsoever...

Fifth of all, what the hell is wrong with you?? Why would you try to "date" someone you meet on fucking FACEBOOK? If you knew him well enough to know him intimately and fall in love due to chats, then you would most definitely know he was engaged. If not, then he's just some random guy you kinda know so obviously it makes no sense to be like, "Oh, let's go out on a date" like wtf??

Finally, how the hell does it make one a "dirtbag" to be engaged????

Well, in your situation it seems he hasn't listed it because he's a bit of a player.
Personally I don't have mine listed because my girlfriend and I are very new in our relationship, so I don't want to seem too clingy by changing it to 'in a relationship', but at the same time, it would be a little insulting for me to have it as 'single'.
Of course, it's all private and many people just don't care to share such information with others.
