I really like this girl who's 800 miles away, but she has a boyfriend?
Hello,
So here's my situation. Back in September I met a girl on Twitter (yes, I know) actually how I came to find her on Twitter is pretty complex, so I'm not gonna get into it. Anyway, we start direct messaging (DM) each other. Because it was on Twitter our conversations would be based on chance of us both being online. Around the middle of October I gave her my number and we started texting. This was a huge milestone for me. I have NEVER texted a non relative girl before. So we started texting off and on. But then, out of the blue, she goes on a date. And then in mid November...boyfriend. Here's the thing though, she's still texting me, and was even telling me about relationships the other night. I really like her, and I know as a friend the right thing to do is be happy for her. At the same time I'm really confused. Should I just wait? I don't wanna risk our friendship by telling her I like her. By the way, yes I am aware this began online. I've always been against online relationships actually. However, I didn't plan for this to happen, it just happened. Honestly I am sad and mad, but overall I'm just confused. Her boyfriend seems really immature based on the comments I see from him online. She's really mature though. I'm just sad because I really like her and I've tried to move on, but it always goes back to her. I think the best approach is to "never, never, never give up" but I'm not sure. Sorry this was long, your comments are appreciated.

800 miles away, with a boyfriend. Your talking about a 16 hour drive, one way, and it looks like you don't even have a car. Maybe you don't live on earth, so I have to ask, is this the only girl on your planet? Focus on your studies, this kind of thing is only temporary, but your education is forever.

You are not seen the bigger picture here, she is miles away, with a boyfriend, it doesn't matter how he is...the problem here is that, she's already taken by someone else, she's with him obviously because she likes him, she is way to far from you, nothing has happen between you two, just texting, think about were, is this relationship between you and her is going, if she's far away from you, and with someone else....think about it well.

It appears that you are confusing the virtual, non existent internet world with real life. What's the point in spending time online with someone you probably will never meet? All that time you spent is just imaginary dreaming. You would be just as well off to fantasize about some beautiful Hollywood actress.
In other words, log off the internet, and go out to meet real people.
