Can anyone help me with a Google chrome problem?

every time i open up a new window on Google chrome, it takes me to a website that is not my homepage. I have no idea how to fix it. so can anyone help me with this problem?

on the top right hand of the window there should be a wrench button, click on it then go to options>basics>on start up>open the following pages>Click on the page that you dont want opening on start up and click remove
