problem with popups?
so lately i have been getting two popups, one of them on the bottom left of my screen thats a video (i finally found out how to stop the video by getting a pop-up blocker) and the other on the bottom right of my screen that somehow finds what i'm doing. Like if I'm trying to buy iphone 5c cases on amazon, it gives me an ad on iphone 5cs. How do i not only block it but completely get rid of it? It shows up on all my screens; tumblr, twitter etc. I think it's completely on my computer, not on only one website.

adblock is great for firefox but as for being installed on your computer (First if you are using firefox), look in the tools menu and check your addons for an add on that sounds relevant to the pop up. Or an addon you did not install. This type of add is called adware or greyware. Greyware means it is in a grey area for legality or maliciousness because it's not necesarilly dangerous but did need to sneak onto your computer. They come from software installations where you check a box that says "I agree to the terms And want to install such and such". Remember, you can click next in that case without checking the box. They cannot force you to install something you did not ask for with your knowledge legally. Another thing to try is to look in the control panel and choose "programs and features".. Look down the list again like you did in your firefox extentions and uninstall anything relevant. If this fails, check in "C:\Program files, (OR C:\Program files (x86)), and check for a program you do not recognize, go inside and look for it's uninstaller. If you do find it and it has no uninstaller then the program is portable and can just be deleted. Also, go into your "users" folder where your documents are and enter "Appdata" (folders may need to be unhidden to see this folder)(start-type "folder option"-press enter- choose the view tab- check the show hidden files box), when you are inside the "Appdata" folder, go into :local" then "temp" and try deleting everything. And finally, you can try a scanner aqnd a registry scanner (Free avg is good) aswell. If none of this works, then it may be a bit deeper than your average unwanted software. Anyway, good luck, hope this helps out.
