my friend is considering suicide-What should I do?
One of my best friends were tweeting about committing suicide last night and i'm DM'ing her on twitter right now. I don't know what I should say to her. I really don't want her to commit suicide. She still says that she is considering doing it. I want to tell her something that will make her not even think about committing suicide again. What should I tell her?

there are three ways I can think of how to handle this

1. get a therapist to talk to her
2. make her become very happy
3. kill her before she kills herself

Oh man! If I were you, I'd tell her parents (without her knowledge of you telling them). This must be really hard for you, I've gone through the same thing.

Just spur up a normal conversation with her! Doesn't have to be about the suicide topic t all. Ask her if she wants to go hang out or go to your house, and maybe you can distract her, make her laugh, and have fun! This would seriously get her mind off it. Then, after a period of laughter and fun, just bring it up carefully "You know...I'm a little worried about you. I really care about you, I don't want you to do anything bad. You're so amazing!" Or anything else, you'll come up with something!
Just get her mind off of it and make sure not to bring up right away.

I get the feeling though, you feel a responsibility for saving her life. Don't think about it, but worst come to worst, it wasn't your fault. You tried your best, you did everything you could.

Ask your parents to take you both to a hotel
Rent a room (an adult must be present)
Get her in a Jacuzzi
If you can, get her a glass of wine

If you can get her to cry a little, that's fine
Be true to her - don't let outsiders disturb your conversation
The Jacuzzi will relax her
That's likely the reason she is feeling so bad

Take her mind off it, it isn't going to help her if your going to talk about suicide it might convince her more. Suggest her a relaxing song to put her off it.

You need to tell her parents. I’m sure you know her home phone number or know where they live. You cannot provide the therapy she needs to fight this. Would you rather have a friend that was mad at you for “telling” or would you rather have a friend whose grave you visit?

Keep them away from any deadly weapons, bridges, railway stations and Switzerland.

Simples...
