Anyone have any true solution to remove what is causing my startup page to revery back to yahoo.com?
I have tried every known solution that has been suggested the last one even looked good while I was logged on. I was able to shut down fire fox and open it and the start page remained the one I chose.

I then rebooted and to my displeasure when I opened fire fox the browser had been reset to yahoo.com thus I must assume this is something to do with the start up.

Whatever this is it has me stumped I have run all sorts of scans and vaporized what It has found to the point that there is nothing left that the software scans are ale to detect at this time.

Let me know if this is making sense to anybody who has had this issue or has a solution.

It would have been helpful if you had listed the solutions you have tried.

I take it that you are talking about your own PC and not one in a Cybercafe or school. (If you are you are wasting everyones time). Do you have an administrator account or a limited user account? If you are using a limited then the resetting is coming from the Admin account and you need to change it there.

If you have not tried it set firefox to start with a blank page, close firefox logout of windows, log back in and open firefox. Did it load blank. If so you can now change the dropdown to "show my homepage" and type one into the box. Click "use current pages" for good measure then close firefox. Log out and login again (does the same as restarting only faster for a simple check) Sart firefox and you should have the correct page.

Go click on tools The box that you bring up will in it {Internet options'} click on that. Another box on your left side will pop up. at the top is the name of your Home page if not.!! get rid of the name that's there, if its not your home page address wipe it clean. put the name you want. then at the bottom it says apply . click that, then click okay. You may have to do this a few more times. Your being hi jacked. That's all.!!
