biracial probleems?
So im half black half white and i identify myself as bi racial. Im ghanian and european. Just like how soneone whos half irish half native or some other mixture of culture can identify myself as that, why cant i say im bi racial? why do i have to choose a side? like today i was talking to my friend and shes like well your black and i said im mixed black and white...nothing againts black peoole i love the culture and everything but i identify myself with what i really am. If you want to see what i look like my instagram is @mikaela_victoria ....but honestly how do i choose..i dont want to....im not white and im not fully black....i cant identify myself as white cause im mixed with black and i use to go to an african american school and kids told me i wasnt like them cause i was yellow or i was too white for them and shit like that...even my black family cals me brown or white girl.....so neither side accepts me.one side says im too black and the other says im too white...i have tan skin kinda lighter than beyonces skin tone for example. I have african hair but its a bronze colour, like a penny. And brown almond shaped eyes and freckles all over my cheeks and arms.....what would you perceve me as? and should i still say that im biracial? i feel mean sometimes saying to white people oh im not all black im half white....i feel like they think i hate blacks but i dont...my black side nade me look different and beautiful but i feel like identifying myself with both sides.....ughh

well i just looked at your instagram, luckily im not a perv/creep.
first I just wanna say I am so jealous of your hair.. its super long and gorgeous.
anyway.. I dont think you really need to put a label like that on yourself. Be true to who you are and be true to how you feel. Its your life, and your body. Identify with whatever you feel fits.

Well nationality and mostly culture is defined by geographical permaters.

We descended from the twelve tribes.
Words like race, ethnic, blacks and whites are subjectively derived, contemporary cultural constructs which can be used to subjugate (Divide the minds of young people/formatory thinkers), an adjunct even, a "Social Tag"

I in fact know a blind man who never knew he was black until people told him.

Colours do not exist, they are mental constructs

Arabs have different shaped noses too you know.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Formatory thinking people will judge you on your appearance, they are blind, you don't have to be.

Formatory thinking > a term for the mechanical aspect of the lower intellectual center.
Pigeon holing, and thereafter returning mechanically to them as statements of truth.
Black and white statements or strictly agreeing or disagreeing.

You are biracial. Black people are going to say you are "yellow" or yellow bone or whatever, but don't let that faze you. Many black people are mixed, and they even accept the "yellow" ones as black, but you are biracial. You can identify as just black if you like. It would be harder for you to identify as just white.
A lot of half black and half white people I met identify as black too even though they are biracial.

you are neither white nor black.... your issue lies in the fact that you are calling your parent "white or black" ...why denigrate and offend people of the racial communities and cultures your parents were NOT a part of because they mixed interracially... you are part of aseperate subculture of people like your parents.... leave the rest of us alone.

You can identify as both.

One almost wonders where "people" asked this question before the widespread use of the internet.
