Facebook costs on my phone...?

I have a HTC wildfire. Whenever I try to use free Facebook (0.Facebook.com) it takes all my credit away when I use 3g But somebody told me that if I recharge $30 credit, you get free Facebook.. Is this true? I'm not on a plan. And I'm on telstra 1cent text. I also downloaded the Facebook app off the android market. Does this app take credit Off me when I use 3G network? Please help

Get some sort of an internet plan, the app itself is free, but using it isn't. If you don't get a plan on it your credit will keep going so its worth it.
