Sony Xperia Z wont connect to Google services, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!?

My Sony Xperia Z refuses to connect to Google services at all. Every time I try to log in it tells me "Cant establish a reliable connection to the server" then takes me to WiFi settings where I'm already logged in. My internet works fine on everything and I don't know why it wont work for signing into Google. But now my phone seems obsolete without Google services. Please help soon!!!

Are you using 2 factor authentication? If so, try and generate a 25 character application password and add your account using that. (I've had what sounds like the same problem on 2 factor accounts a load of times).

Failing that try and do a factory refresh on the device. (And obviously check you've actually got an internet connection!)
