How does SEO for subdirectories work?
So I recently switched from subdomains to subdirectories and I wante some advice about how the SEO work. I know that when it is a subdomian I have to treat the subdomain as a totally different website and build the SEO separately, but I wanted to know of that was the same for subdirectories.
Do I need to submit the subdirectories to search engines? Does the name of the subdirectory matter? Do the the subdirectories act like separate website or are they all part of my larger website? Ads |

They are part of the main website and the subdirectory name does matter as it is a chance to input a keyword into the url. Just make sure they are in your sitemap file. Thats all you need to do.
