how can i not let people add me on facebook?

Where is that in the settings? I want to add only people i know and when they search me theres only "message" and no "add friend" . You get what im saying? lol
OKaaaayy . I found my answer to my question. I chose friends of friends option and the no "add friend" will not appear if i have no whatsoever connection with the one who looked me up. So yeah thats only possible for strangers who looked you up.

First of all, that never happens. At least for me, whenever someone tries to add you at facebook, a friend request is recieved. Then, u got to decide whether to add them or not.

Click on the Lock On the Upper Right Side of the Page

Than Click on Who Can Contact Me

You Will See Friend Requests

it Will Say Everyone

Click on That and Change it to Friends of Friends

Once you Have Done That Than you Should Get Less Friend Requests

Please Note you Can Not Turn it Off Completely Tho Friends of Friends Can Still Send your Requests So Mutual Friends Can Still Request You
