How do you talk to someone on Twitter ?

I want to talk to some people on Twitter I sent messages to my sister and my boyfriend and my favorite actress on Twitter but they've never wrote back and it's been almost a week and I am fallowing them. I've sent them direct messages. The actress probably wont write back but my sister and boyfriend are on there all the time. Why won't they talk to me ? Can you talk to people on Twitter ?

Use their twitter name and tweet them a message!

There are two options in talking to people on Twitter:

1. Send them a DM (means "Direct Message")
2. Mention them and then tell them what you want to tell them.

DMs are a good choice if you're talking about something private. But if it's something public, then you could just Mention the person.
