how to pay using e-bay?

i'm new to e-bay and was wondering how safe it is. my computer recently had a virus so if i need to give away my bank details i wanna know that its in safe hands. If i even need to give away my bank details, i'm not sure...

the safest way is to open a paypal account. you set up your bank details with them then when you buy on ebay select pay by paypal and the payment will go through paypal and they will debit your bank account. You never have to give your bank details to a seller.

if you are selling again accept payment by paypal, the only difference is the funds will stay in your paypal account until you either pay using paypal or you transfer funds to your bank account.

it is one of the safest ways of buying/selling on ebay
