Best way to organize multiple email addresses/contacts?

I have about 7 email addresses I check regularly. It may sound excessive, but they are personal, school, billing, spam, unlisted business email, website, and different business. I'm a photographer/student, and I'm using gmail and yahoo platforms.
I'm having trouble organizing email lists (clients, makeup artists, designers), and frequently miss emails. I often check on iMac or ipad.

Any suggestions for ways to manage emails/address books, especially with long dragged out conversations?
