Does a low signal in the internet affect virus database for updating?
I have a problem updating my clamwin free antivirus database due to the fact that the internet provider or the host server is down or has low download speed can this be possible?

Switch to Linux. Windows XP is about to become completely unsupported by Microsoft (in April), meaning that no antivirus will be able to give you any real assurance of security anymore.

Linux is free, and is more secure. Or buy a Windows 7 computer.

mathieu is right but only go to Linux if you're tech-savvy. Going to Windows 7 is easier and whatever you do AVOID WIndows 8!
