What are your thoughts on people who take pictures of their expensive stuff and post it on instagram?

My friend does this. She's a rich kid and therefore she's at the chanel and dior store every other week. She's also 27 and still struggling to get her first (undergraduate)degree. All her actions and purchases are done for a great instagram picture and many likes.I'm honestly not jealous but I just want her to focus on whats important and less on instagram likes.

Am I being too nosy? Is there anything wrong with showing off your items or am I reading too deeply into those pictures?

Maybe these expensive trinkets and self-hype are just covering over a massive hole in her life.
She's not a kid anymore, she's 27, not working, struggling to get a degree that most of us have got at 21, probably not married, kids still a long way off, hell I don't know, could be anything.
You're right to be concerned, but just concentrate on being a good friend to her.
