Why wont google Chrome work?
So I tried to open up Google chrome and it doesn't work. As in, it will not open at all. Instead Command Prompt Opens and then closes itself really quick. This happens every time I try to open it. Although Internet Explorer and Chromium work fine. Could someone please explain? I also did a full scan On my PC with AVG and no virus alert came up.
Windows Vista is the version I use

Just because you have one of the crappiest anti virus systems you can get,

Don't mean your computer is not infected.

Data Execution Prevention is blocking Goggle Chrome. What version of Windows do you use?

NOTE: This has nothing to do with virus! Also there is no way to turn off DEP for Chrome that I know of. If you are looking for faster speeds when using the internet, try using CCleaner from piriform.com to clean up your computer system, and run your Disk Defragmenter overnight. This all should help.

Try this, I found on eHow.com:

•1
If you haven't already, download and install the latest version of Google Chrome.

•2
Close Google Chrome if it's already open.

•3
Locate the shortcut icon used to launch Google Chrome.

•4
Right-click on the shortcut icon and choose "Properties".

•5
Click on the "Shortcut" tab.

•6
In the "Target" field, add the following right after chrome.exe: --in-process-plugins

•7
Please notice that there are exactly "two" dashes before the "in-process" part.

•8
It should now look similar to the following: "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --in-process-plugins

•9
Click on "OK" to save your settings and continue.

•10
That's it! Now Google Chrome should work correctly on Windows Vista 64 bit or Windows 7 64 bit

Do a reinstall of chrome. Delete any leftover files. And then see what happens.
